Sealite Nautilus-2200 And Poseidon-1750 Ocean Buoys Deployed In One Of The Biggest Ports In Europe
Two Sealite Nautilus-2200 and one Poseidon-1750 Ocean buoys have been installed at one of the biggest ports in Europe. The port is the main gateway for offshore gas and oil and offshore wind farm vessels from the North Sea.
Chosen for their size and quality, the large three Sealite buoys were used to mark the new extension of the port that will mainly be used to load wind turbines on installation vessels. Many of the offshore supply vessels entering the port are large and therefore the port chose Sealite’s large scale buoys for their huge visual area for navaid recognition, ensuring the captains and pilots were able to easily distinguish the buoys.
The lightweight, durable polyethylene buoys require minimal maintenance, have excellent stability and buoyancy and with one of the strongest product warranties on the market, are the popular choice among ports throughout the world. In selecting Sealite, the customer received a complete turn-key solution and the buoys were delivered and assembled by Sealite distributor partner Maritim Consult, on the quayside ready for the port to deploy.
Sealite recently increased its buoy manufacturing capabilities in Europe through its UK office, introduced the Trident-2600 buoy to the list of UK built products and is providing European customers and distributors with faster delivery and turnaround times. Sealite UK provides a large range of marine lanterns, buoys, as well as a total navaid solution of manufacturing, delivery, installation and servicing.
